Thanks, I can confirm that the Reddit comment does indeed solve a problem with the Termux app (note this is nothing directly related to Delphi or C++Builder but is a limitation of Termux).
The basics are to make sure Termux is shown on screen as a foreground app or Android 16 and above will limit the amount of CPU and RAM resources allocated to it which in turn severely impacts Termux’s performance.
