Embarcadero has restored the ability of the 12.0 GetIt server to install additional packages from the RAD Studio 12 Athens IDE via the GetIt package manager.
The rebuilt GetIt server for RAD Studio 12 now uses a cloud-based infrastructure in order to offer higher availability and faster response times.

GetIt Packages for RAD Studio 12 Available Now
Starting today, the majority of the GetIt add-on packages that were available on the previous system have been restored and made available. There is still ongoing work to provide some missing packages, which we are aiming to complete by this week.
Some of the Embarcadero owned packages are also available as offline Local GetIt Packages (see this blog post for more information and installation steps) and they can be found at the my.embarcadero.com download website:
- The Embarcadero General Packages Download for RAD Studio 12.0 includes Radiant Shapes, Konopka Controls, BeaconFence, Bookmarks, and Navigator
- The FMXLinux Package Download for RAD Studio 12.0 includes FMXLinux (updated Jan 2024)
- TwineCompile 5.6.2 as a separate installer
12.0 Patch 1 is Also Available
In addition and at the same time, we are releasing the Patch 1 hotfix for RAD Studio 12.0. See the specific blog post announcement for details.
Upcoming Inline Installer
We are now at work to restore the online installation for trial users and customers who buy RAD Studio, Delphi or C++Builder, or own a license already and haven’t installed it yet. This installation will be based on a new 12.0 inline release, i.e. the new installer download will be a new build of 12.0 including the Patch 1 hotfix.
The new 12.0 ‘inline release’ is identical to the original 12.0 release, except for the integration of the hotfix. Installing the hotfix on the current 12.0 release or installing the inline build with the hotfix embedded will provide you the same release of the product.
We’ll let you know when the new 12.0 inline release is available, with an update to this blog post.
Adding and Removing Features in Existing Installations
Customers who have installed RAD Studio 12 using the ISO can continue to use that version, add platforms to it via the ISO, and use GetIt to add additional packages to the installation.
Customers who have installed RAD Studio 12 using the online installation process won’t have the ability to add new platforms and core features to the product via the Manage Features dialog. In order to do this, they will need to uninstall and then reinstall using the new inline release.

Free Delphi Community Edition Free C++Builder Community Edition
So will it be possible now to install C++ Builder community Ed? Was not working for weeks?
At the moment the GetIt server for 11.x (which is used by the CE version) is still being worked on. As soon as it’s back it should be possible to install the CE versions again.
I just installed the patch. I’m a C++ user – couldn’t build my projects with 12.0, when building a package components don’t show up. But this is another story. OK.
At least I was able to build test projects with 12.0. Now after the patch, RAD Studio can no longer link a bare C++ VCL project without anything in it for Win64 (Win32 works). For Win64 I get:
[ilink64 Error] Fatal: Unable to open file ‘;E:\RADSTUDIO12BETA\JEDI\JCL-MASTER\JCL\LIB\D29\WIN64;C:\USERS\x y\DOCUMENTS\EMBARCADERO\STUDIO\23.0\CATALOGREPOSITORY\JEDICODELIBRARYJCL-2023.11\LIB\D29\WIN64;C:\USERS\PUBLIC\DOCUMENTS\EMBARCADERO\STUDIO\23.0\DCP\WIN64\RELEASE;C:\USERS\PUBLIC\D’
The only thing I did was installing the patch!!!
PS: No idea where to post something like this – try here.
The problem was – as one might suspect – a path problem. Going to “Tools->Options->Language->C++->Paths and Definitions”. Then Platfrom Win64, and then under Library path all paths were created multiple times – not just the JEDI paths, so e.g. “$(BDSLIB)\win64\release” was several times in the list. This probably resulted in a string that was too long and caused the link command to fail.
Oliver seems to have been on the right track. I just had to remove $(BDSCOMMONDIR)\Dcp\$(Platform) from the Win64 library path and it worked for me.
Hi Oliver. I have reposted this on DelphiPraxis at https://en.delphipraxis.net/topic/10981-the-getit-server-is-back-online-with-the-120-patch-1/
Can you post back here when you resolve this issue (and how you resolved it)?
Will the new GetIt Package Manager also be available for Delphi 11.3 ??
Yes. The server for 11.3 is still being worked on. It’s not the same one as for RAD Studio 12.
I finally managed to install the Community Edition of Delphi 11.3 . It took 40 minutes to install on my new ASUS Vivobook E1404FA (Win11 Home 23H2) .
I thought that everything went well , but the “Welcome to Embarcadero RAD Studio” window , shows 3 yellow triangles with a black exclamation mark , saying :
Git – Git executable not found
Mercurial – Hg executable not found
Subversion – Subversion folder not found
I’m not sure what this means .
Can someone please explain ?
Thank you for fixing on delphi 12.0
But … what about delphi 11.x
For computer upgrade i had to uninstall delphi 11.3 and i had to reinstall it via .ISO file beacuse the getit issue is still present.
Do you have any plan to fix it even for old delphi version (if 11.3 is have to consider old version!!)
The GetIt servers for 11.x and 10.x are still being worked on – they will be returning as soon as we can.

I still can’t install C++ builder community edition as ‘getit-olympus.embarcadero.com’ TIME-OUT
The GetIt server for Olympus (RAD Studio 11.x) which is required by the CE version is not quite ready yet.

Are there any ISO images for community editions ?
I have an application with a TRibbon menu. I can’t download TRibbon from gettit. Is it going to be available?
Hello – I am having issues with 10.4 ever since this package became available. I receive the message: The Embarcadero GetIt server could not be reached.
Please see the following post: https://blogs.embarcadero.com/we-are-experiencing-a-hardware-outage/
With GetIt you can select the Ribbon Classic Controls for RAD Studion 12 with Patch 1. Only the installation doesn’t work (Extraction of the data runs on Error)
There was a configuration issues, we’ve disabled the package while we are looking into it. Should be up again soon
Hello, I’m trying to reinstall C++ Builder XE7 on a new computer. Also having download fail issues. Will the connections for older packages be restored too?
We are working on restoring 11.x but older installs like XE7 should not require a GetIt server. You might want to check what the error is and open a support ticket if it relates to installation issues.
I’m using Delphi Berlin and despite having bought Delphi Alexandria I’ve never found the time to migrate.
Unfortunately lately I’ve been getting strange errors when I compile: F1026 File not found: ‘xxxxx.dcu’ or it doesn’t even find the .pas files that are in the project.
I made up my mind to switch to Alexandria, but bought in 2022, subscription expired in September 2023 and I can’t download the ISO file and install from GETIT errors yet.
Help !!!!
Hi Antonio. The best people to deal with installation errors is the support team. If you contact them using the links on the main site menu they will be able to help you.
