Hi everyone. We found that we needed to update our instructions on how to make Kai and Claude work together. We also clarified a few steps. You may find that in your version Kai still says “you need to log in to Claude” – as long as you follow the steps in DocWiki you should find Claude works correctly. We’re looking into improving this experience as soon as we can – AI is a fast-moving technology!
You can find the updated instructions on DocWiki here: https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/Florence/en/Kai_Installation#Claude_Integration
Here’s a brief video discussing the update.

Btw, when asking for the Kai trial subscription I think the redemption page (might remember wrong) says an e-mail will be sent with the key. Was waiting (did check my spam folder too) for that e-mail from 15Jul for several days without getting one and just realized today (24Jul) the trial key is in my product keys page online instead
Wonder if one can ask for extension of trial esp. if they hadn’t activated it (ideally trial should start from activation in the product)
BTW, the instructions say to get Kai from GetIt to start the trial redemption process, but on D13.1 May patch wasn’t showing such on 15Jul that I had checked so I had downloaded it directly from subscriber downloads. Now that I already have Kai 1.0.2 installed (was showing as unregistered in Delphi about box), I checked GetIt and it appears. Not really sure if I should better uninstall it and install the GetIt one instead…
Update on my previous comment:
– I ended up uninstalling the Kai installer I had downloaded from my account’s downloads and installed the GetIt one (on D13, seems to also show option to install on D12 when proceeding, probably it just brings the same installer in via GetIt).
– When using License Manager from Help menu in Delphi 13, and doing Add Serial to add the KAI Trial key one gets from their personal keys page (assuming they had applied for the trial key in the respective page), it shows “Days Left: 30”, so it doesn’t matter if it took them some time since they first applied for the key as it seems if they hadn’t yet applied in via License Manager. Nice
Update 2: …rushed to speak as it seems. Adding the key via Add Serial keeps it in an unregistered keys section at the left sidebar in License Manager. Once you press Register and proceed, you end up with a duration calculated from when you had first applied for that trial key, not from when you first activated it. So ended up with “License Expiration Date: 15/8/2026 – Days Left: 12”. Anyway, better than nothing now that I have some free time to try KAI (though it would be nice to have some way to ask for extension of trials)
