Old Embarcadero Quality Portal Migrated to Atlassian JSM

Approximately two years ago, Embarcadero moved the public customer bug reporting and feature requests system for Delphi, C++Builder, and RAD Studio from an internally hosted instance of JIRA to Atlassian Jira Service Manager (JSM). This portal is available at https://qp.embarcadero.com/, which redirects to https://embt.atlassian.net/servicedesk/. The tickets in this system are kept in sync with Embarcadero’s R&D work JIRA tracking system.

  • Access to the JSM portal requires signing in with a free account. Instructions for creating one are provided in the related blog post. Please note that new accounts are not immediately granted access to tickets reported by other customers; a daily synchronization process updates permissions to enable that access.

The old system has been accessible in read-only configuration at quality.embarcadero.com/. We’ve continued updating ticket statuses to match the latest internal system state, including marking issues resolved in recent releases. We have decided to retire the old portal and migrate all existing public tickets into a new space within the same JSM environment, called RAD Studio Archive. When you log in, you’ll see both spaces. The Archive space appears empty because it doesn’t accept new submissions—it’s only for historical tickets. All new reports should now be submitted in the RAD Studio Service space.

To locate your old tickets, click the user icon in the top‑right corner and select “Requests”. This opens the list of your existing tickets, which you can filter by status or by space:

As you can see, the ticket numbers (RSP-xxxxx) are the same as the older system. In fact, while doing this massive migration, we have not only been able to preserve most of the data (losing only some of the formatting) but also retain the same ticket IDs.

This not only makes it easier to find tickets, but enables us to redirect the old direct ticket URLs (https://quality.embarcadero.com/browse/RSP-14869) to the new system URL for the same issue (https://embt.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/37/RSP-14869).

We plan to continue to update the RAD Studio Archive space to reflect the current status of the corresponding JIRA tickets in the R&D system, including marking issues as resolved as they are addressed over time.
