Thanks for a great book!
But not all people have dcc64.exe in the bin64 folder … compiling WebStencilsDemo.dproj fails with an error that the “specified task executable location” is invalid. And I can’t find out where to change this in the project settings. I have Delphi 12 Professional With Mobile. Well I could fix the problem with a symbolic link, but it should not be necessary.
For Delphi 12 Professional the DCC54.exe is in the
binnot thebin64folder. I am not sure which version of the book you’re looking at, but I can’t see any reference to the dcc64 file in the one I am looking at. Usually additional commands are configure in the project–>options–>build events area but I didn’t see any for this project.The white paper/tutorial page28, mx-put and mx-delete examples do not work. There is no description in the document on how to add TWebModule1.HandlePutRequest(). I can add actions but not handlePutRequest. The gitHub code doesn’t use the code either. The AI engine said Indy doesn’t support the PUT and Delete. I tried the webModule beforeDispatch but it never fires for mx-put or mx-delete. I am using delphi 12.3. I hope to get an email with the fix.
Well, that’s an example of AI being utterly wrong and unhelpful. lol
Of course, Indy supports
PUT(andDELETEetc).
