AltU is an integrated tool for the Delphi IDE that expedites the process of finding and adding appropriate units to be included in the uses section and it is built in Delphi. According to the developer, “This tool scans and caches all the types, functions, and constants, in order to allow rapid and untroubled app development. Afterwards, it can find all the units containing a given name, show them for the user to choose from, and add the appropriate unit to a uses section – all under a simple key shortcut ‘Alt + U’ straight from the IDE. Cacheing all the crucial information brings the search time down to around 0,3s (at about 1 000 000 cached entries). The times when a developer had to remember the exact units in which various types and functions were declared have just come to an end.”
