Tip #1: The Patch
After RAD Studio 12.2 was released, we released a patch for it, known as the 12.2 Inline Install. This resolved an issue with packages (no, not C++ packages which are fine, but the general packages the product shipped with.) Please make sure that’s what you have installed, and see Marco’s blog for more info.
Then, that patch introduced two regressions in C++, one opening projects and one building a complex C++ library. So there is a second patch, Patch 2. See Marco’s second blog for more info.
Basically, if you see this on the Welcome page:
Click it, follow the instructions, restart the IDE, and repeat until you don’t see it any more.
We know it’s not ideal installing patches, but in this case doing so is a real tip: you will get better results when you do.
