Pazera Free Audio Extractor is an universal audio converter developed with Delphi. As stated by the developer, “The program allows extraction of audio tracks from audio and video files without loss of sound quality or conversion to MP3, AAC, AC3, E-AC3, Ogg-Opus, Ogg-Vorbis, WMA, FLAC, M4A-AAC, M4A-ALAC, WV (WavPack), MKA-Opus, CAF-Opus, AIFF or WAV. The application supports over 70 audio and video formats, including AVI, MP3, FLV, MP4, MKV, MPG, MOV, RM, 3GP, WMV, WebM, VOB, FLAC, AAC, M4A. The program has a number of predefined settings (profiles) specially designed for novice users. More advanced users can customize many audio encoding parameters: audio bitrate, sampling frequency, audio channels, audio volume and other. A unique feature of the program is the ability to automatically select all conversion parameters. The program performs a detailed analysis of each file and tries to choose such conversion parameters to minimize the loss of sound quality in the resulting files. Besides converting and extracting audio tracks, the program can also be used as an advanced information tool. For retrieving information about audio and video files, the application uses well-known tools such as MediaInfo and FFprobe. The information obtained is then categorized and displayed on separate tabs in the “File properties” window (F10 hotkey). The user can also save a detailed report to a text file.” The developer goes on to say that, “The first version of the program was written in Turbo Delphi 2006 in 2008. In the following years, the program was developed in newer versions of Delphi. Currently, the application fully supports UNICODE, uses VCL visual styles, generic collections, anonymous methods, advanced records, etc. In the program I use many commercial and free libraries and components, including TMS Component Pack, NextSuite from BergSoft.net, SpTBXLib, VCL Style Utils, HtmlViewer and my JPPack. The program (except my website) can be found in many software directories, such as FossHub, Download.com, FreewareFiles, SoftPedia, MajorGeeks. It is currently the best-rated app on VideoHelp.”
