TonCut is intended for cutting optimization of flat (2D) and long (1D) materials, such as: glass, wood, stone, metal, aluminum, plexiglass, cardboard, tubes, bars, etc. The program allows to reduce waste when cutting significantly and it is developed in Delphi. According to the developer, “TonCut not only optimizes perfectly but is also fast, efficient and very easy to use! Depending on the size and number of elements, a waste of 1-10% can be obtained. Practice shows that this gives saving of about 10% compared to traditional methods. Thanks to the use of AI, TonCut can find results unachievable with standard optimization algorithms.” This is a great showcase because it shows how optimization can really affect the bottom line.
