このライブラリがカバーしているSMBIOS（System Management BIOS）はDMTFによって策定された規格で、SMBIOSに保存される情報には、デバイスの製造元、モデル名、シリアル番号、BIOSバージョン、アセットタグ、プロセッサ、ポート、およびインストールされているデバイスメモリが含まれます。
