Embarcadero has restored the ability of the 12.0 GetIt server to install additional packages from the RAD Studio 12 Athens IDE via the GetIt package manager.
The rebuilt GetIt server for RAD Studio 12 now uses a cloud-based infrastructure in order to offer higher availability and faster response times.

GetIt Packages for RAD Studio 12 Available Now
Starting today, the majority of the GetIt add-on packages that were available on the previous system have been restored and made available. There is still ongoing work to provide some missing packages, which we are aiming to complete by this week.
Some of the Embarcadero owned packages are also available as offline Local GetIt Packages (see this blog post for more information and installation steps) and they can be found at the my.embarcadero.com download website:
- The Embarcadero General Packages Download for RAD Studio 12.0 includes Radiant Shapes, Konopka Controls, BeaconFence, Bookmarks, and Navigator
- The FMXLinux Package Download for RAD Studio 12.0 includes FMXLinux (updated Jan 2024)
- TwineCompile 5.6.2 as a separate installer
12.0 Patch 1 is Also Available
In addition and at the same time, we are releasing the Patch 1 hotfix for RAD Studio 12.0. See the specific blog post announcement for details.
Upcoming Inline Installer
We are now at work to restore the online installation for trial users and customers who buy RAD Studio, Delphi or C++Builder, or own a license already and haven’t installed it yet. This installation will be based on a new 12.0 inline release, i.e. the new installer download will be a new build of 12.0 including the Patch 1 hotfix.
The new 12.0 ‘inline release’ is identical to the original 12.0 release, except for the integration of the hotfix. Installing the hotfix on the current 12.0 release or installing the inline build with the hotfix embedded will provide you the same release of the product.
We’ll let you know when the new 12.0 inline release is available, with an update to this blog post.
Adding and Removing Features in Existing Installations
Customers who have installed RAD Studio 12 using the ISO can continue to use that version, add platforms to it via the ISO, and use GetIt to add additional packages to the installation.
Customers who have installed RAD Studio 12 using the online installation process won’t have the ability to add new platforms and core features to the product via the Manage Features dialog. In order to do this, they will need to uninstall and then reinstall using the new inline release.
