Alister is also working on a Part 3 training video (coming soon).
Alister has been producing videos on Delphi for over 5 years now and is making the long form training videos available for purchase. He is in the finishing touches on to Part 3 of Building Applications in Delphi with the Visual Component Library.
Alister’s most recent Delphi training movie is about THeaderControl. The 20 minute video is available to watch on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrF9gpRsX5M. Alister blogged about the video saying “In this video we take a detailed look at the THeaderControl component. It is an extract from Building Apps in Delphi with the VCL Part 3 (to be released shortly). I had intended not to cover the THeaderControl as as it is not a particularly exciting control, however after asking on StackOverflow, I decided that I would cover it – and to make it available for free. You can watch it on YouTube, it’s about 20 minutes long and is typical of the coverage I give many of the VCL components. If you like this video you should consider purchasing Part 1 or Part 2, between them they cover about 60 components, plus many of the properties and events not covered in this video.“

Alister also has videos about the FireMonkey business application platform including the wonderful “FireMonkey Periodic Table” – in this 26 minute video, Alister Christie builds a Period Chart of the Elements in FireMonkey. The example is based on a similar project created for “Building VCL Apps Part 1”. You can watch the video here, or watch it on YouTube.
