I'm glad you're appreciating how truly important generics are going to be to Delphi.

Like many others I really see things changing for the better. however after reading Julian Bucknall's blog on DevExpress, I'm worried about the WinForm support. We've used a lot of time (2 years+) to create an application with ECO, and DevExpress components. Is this investment just wasted? I hope not! I would _hate_ to go to VS ("#?¤) and Chrome.
Well, well, time will tell...
This updated roadmap still doesn't mention
WinForm support with one word, but...

Per

I have always been critical about CodeGear/Borland but things are really changing for the better. Everybody knows it won't happen in a day. I would just like to congratulate you guys for Delphi 2007! It's really a great product. Its a great release comparable to Delphi 7.

Come up with great innovative products and don't settle for mediocrity! Keep up the good work! Great roadmap!

IDL
>> For a number of different reasons, we had scoped Highlander to only be able to consume generics. However, Highlander now will have both creation and consumption of generics.

Okay whomever says you guys at CodeGear are not listening, needs to pay attention. You guys are listening! What a quick and great response to the feedback. Now we have true .NET 2.0 support in Highlander.

Wow, I am feeling better every day about this new company.

Now if after 64-bit you can pull off a Mac OSX targeted platform, I think that would get the attention of everyone including non-Delphi folks. I think everyone would be willing to pay extra for that one considering the R&D it would take.

Were talking, your listening, I can only wait...
Can't you guys find a way to team up with Freepascal?

It would be great to be able to target Linux (serverside) apps from within the IDE.
I am glad to see you've thrown the Gauntlet down, and I am sure CodeGear will create an Elite native 64 bit development environment, which will have you at the top of the development tools Leaderboard. And remember, success is far from an Impossible Mission, and anyone who says otherwise is just being Paradroid.

(I tried to fit Jet Set Willy in there somewhere, but all attempts just came off sounding smutty)
