Why not put this on normal web pages?

With video, I am forced to watch the bits I already know, cannot jump to those things I don’t know, I cannot save for future reference, I cannot search to find a specific topic, and not everyone has fast internet anyway.

Delphi 7 + Coderush still seems superior to Live Templates and the refactorings you showed. I can declare a for loop and introduce the variable with fr+space, I can embed selected code with Ctrl+e+(t,b, etc), I can comment/uncomment with ‘ I can declare local functions easy and a lot of other things.

    Lars,

Thanks for the comments, while I know that Coderush has some really great features, I’m merely pointing out that the New RAD Studio 2010 (since really 2005) has a lot of nice editor features that many people using it may not know about or have not heard about it.

Plus the fact that CodeRush is not available for RAD Studio anymore shows that the editor has come a long way. Plus the addition of IDE Insight helps push the IDE even more.

اگر این ویدئو ها در راهنمای RadStudio گنجانده میشد بسیار کاربردی تر بود

    متشکرم

    Hello Michael

I have watched most of your great videos on the database architectures: Clear and concise!

I currently use IBX/InterBase and am eager to start working on - new- projects using dbExpress.

One suggestion: Is it possible that dbExpress is augmented with a mechanism which enables it to optionally refresh the "disconnected" data being edited through the TClientDataSet object so that the user would feel that he’s working with live data? Data-provider objects should be able to work with triggers in the database to achieve this end.

This in my opinion would gather advantages of both live/briefcase models in one powerful package.

    Thanks and good luck.
