Chat with your favorite Jabber client

We’ve opened up our Jabber port on the CodeGear chat server for chatting with any Jabber client you prefer. See http://dn.codegear.com/article/37274#9GUIJabberclients for more information.

We hope to chat with you soon!

This one is nice, open source and, double-plus-good, written in Delphi!

    Hi John,

I’ve installed Pidgin 2.3.1, and configured the codegear chats as indicated in your CDN article.

When I join a codegear chatroom for the first time, it works fine. However, when I close the chat window, and try joining again, nothing happens (no error message, no chat window). Accessing the chatrooms using the website works fine.

Is this a pidgin client problem, or is it a server problem? Any info is appreciated.

    Regards,
    Robert.

    Hi John,

    (Answering my own question)

It seems that after adding a chat to your pidgin roster, you should right click it, and choose "persistent" to make it work correctly.

    Regards,
    Robert.
