Francois Piette, Embarcadero MVP from Belgium, is blogging to show developers how to build Delphi multi-device apps for Windows and Android using FM. He includes source code in his blog posts and some projects are also available for download.
- FireMonkey, Android, Windows and PostMessage (December 15, 2013) - http://francois-piette.blogspot.be/2013/12/firemonkey-android-windows-and.html. In this article, Francois shows how he wrapped the messaging systems for Windows and Android with a class, "TMessagingSystem" and created implementations for each platform.
- Mandelbrot Explorer for Android and Windows (December 18, 2013) - http://francois-piette.blogspot.be/2013/12/mandelbrot-explorer-for-android-and.html. Francois rewrote his Mandlebrot explorer using the FM application platform. Then he compiled and ran the same code on Windows and Android. I love Mandlebrot and now I can play with them on multiple devices.
- TIniFile for Android and Windows (January 5, 2014) - http://francois-piette.blogspot.be/2014/01/tinifile-for-android-and-windows.html. Francois creates a multi-device ini file handling class and implements it on both platforms. On Windows he uses the Windows implementation. On Android he uses the SharedPreferences API. The source code is available at http://francois-piette.blogspot.be/2014/01/tinifile-for-windows-and-android-source.html
Keep up the great writing, Francois!
