I seems like just yesterday when I was in Auckland for our RAD Studio XE5 Preview Tour (actually it took place on Friday August 30). Thank you to all the great developers who showed up to see how easy it is to use Delphi XE5 to create great apps for iOS and Android. In Auckland we also had a special guest presenter, Brian Hamilton, who talked about how he took his Delphi iOS application and quickly got it working on Delphi for Android. Brian’s Delphi for Android app is for sale in the Google Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embarcadero.iWD.
Since my stop in Auckland we have hit many more cities around the world and the tour continues into next month and beyond. Next week (September 24 to 26) the Embarcadero World Tour returns to New Zealand for 6 more cities in 3 days to meet up with additional new customers and friends. Malcolm Groves will be hitting your shores as part of a mobile development workshop in partnership with the New Zealand Institute of IT Professionals.
Cities on the tour include: Hamilton, Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga, Dunedin and Christchurch. I wish I could be there but you are in good hands with Malcolm. I can’t wait to return to New Zealand in the future to visit the America’s Cup, which barring a miracle, looks like will be on it’s way soon there.
Malcolm provides additional details about his tour on his blog post at http://www.malcolmgroves.com/blog/?p=1477. While you might find Malcolm looking stressed and/or over-caffeinated, you will enjoy building iOS and Android apps with Delphi XE5.
